Llira, 9kms north of Villamarchante is the main town of the region with a population of around 20,000.
The town centre has an excellent variety of shops, supermarkets, banks, chemists, restaurants and coffee shops.
There is also a large medical centre that is open 24 hours a day, plus an ambulance service for emergencies.
Thursday is market day in Lliria, and this is when the town centre bustles with life as everyone hunts for a bargain.
